Best Game Deals This Week (October 12 - 18, 2026)
Three things make this week worth your attention. Battlefield 6 hits Xbox Game Pass on October 13, which is about as big as a monthly add gets. PlayStation's Player's Choice Sale is live with nearly 5,000 deals and some genuinely steep cuts on first-party exclusives. And you've got until October 15 before nine titles vanish from Game Pass, so there's a clock running too. Here's what's worth your money.
Top 5 Deals of the Week
| Game | Platform | Sale Price | Regular | Discount | Ends |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Battlefield 6 | Xbox Game Pass (Ultimate, PC) | Included | — | — | Added Oct 13 |
| Batman: Arkham Collection | PlayStation Store | $5.99 | $59.99 | 90% | Oct 21 |
| Demon's Souls | PS5 | $17.49 | $69.99 | 75% | Oct 21 |
| Hogwarts Legacy | PlayStation Store | $10.49 | $69.99 | 85% | Oct 21 |
| Mass Effect Legendary Edition | PlayStation Store | $14.99 | $59.99 | 75% | Oct 21 |
Why These Made the Cut
- Battlefield 6 is the marquee name of the month. A brand-new, full-price shooter landing in Game Pass day-and-date is the kind of value the subscription exists for. If you're an Ultimate or PC member, there's nothing to buy.
- Batman: Arkham Collection at 90% off is the deepest discount on this list, and it's three of the best superhero games ever made for the price of a coffee.
- Demon's Souls rarely gets cut this hard. A 75% discount on a first-party PS5 exclusive is the standout of the whole Player's Choice Sale.
- Hogwarts Legacy at 85% off brings a massive open-world RPG down to $10.49, well below what it's held at for most of its life.
- Mass Effect Legendary Edition packs all three remastered games into one $14.99 bundle. For a trilogy this size, that's a hard number to argue with.
Game Pass Additions This Week
| Game | Date | Platforms |
|---|---|---|
| Battlefield 6 | Oct 13 | Ultimate, PC |
| Deep Dish Dungeon | Oct 13 | Ultimate, PC |
| Valor Mortis (day one) | Oct 13 | Ultimate, PC |
| Bluey's Happy Snaps | Oct 15 | Ultimate, PC |
| Chained Beasts | Oct 15 | Ultimate, PC |
| Beyond These Stars (day one) | Oct 16 | Ultimate, PC |
Battlefield 6 is the obvious headliner, but it's a stacked week otherwise. Valor Mortis and Beyond These Stars both arrive day one, so you're not waiting months to try them. Bluey's Happy Snaps is a solid pick if you've got younger players in the house.
Games Leaving This Week
Nine titles leave Xbox Game Pass on October 15, 2026. If any of these are sitting in your backlog, this is your window:
- A Plague Tale: Requiem
- Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (leaving after roughly 18 months on the service)
- Crime Scene Cleaner
- Donut County
- Evil West
- Nova Roma
- Pacific Drive
- Superball
- The Casting of Frank Stone
Don't miss: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and A Plague Tale: Requiem are the two to prioritize. Both are story-driven and finishable in a weekend or two. Game Pass members get a discount if you'd rather buy a departing game than race the clock.
Platform Breakdown
PlayStation Store: Player's Choice Sale
The Player's Choice Sale is the big one this week. It's live now, runs through October 21, and covers nearly 5,000 items with discounts up to 75% off (and deeper on some third-party titles).
| Game | Sale Price | Regular | Discount |
|---|---|---|---|
| Demon's Souls (PS5) | $17.49 | $69.99 | 75% |
| Hogwarts Legacy | $10.49 | $69.99 | 85% |
| Batman: Arkham Collection | $5.99 | $59.99 | 90% |
| Mass Effect Legendary Edition | $14.99 | $59.99 | 75% |
| Red Dead Redemption 2 | $14.99 | $59.99 | 75% |
| Mafia: Definitive Edition | $5.99 | $39.99 | 85% |
| RoboCop: Rogue City | $7.99 | $39.99 | 80% |
| LIMBO & INSIDE Bundle | $3.34 | $33.49 | 90% |
| LEGO Harry Potter Collection | $5.99 | $39.99 | 85% |
| Street Fighter 6 | $15.99 | $39.99 | 60% |
| Blasphemous II | $7.49 | $29.99 | 75% |
| Cat Quest 3 | $7.99 | $19.99 | 60% |
Newer releases are in the mix too, at smaller cuts: SAROS (from the Returnal team) is down 29% to $49.69, Marathon is 40% off at $23.99, and 007 First Light is 30% off at $48.99.
Standout: Demon's Souls at $17.49. First-party PS5 exclusives almost never drop this low, and the sale ends October 21, so don't sit on it.
Xbox Store: Weekly Deals
Microsoft rotates its Xbox store sales every Tuesday and Thursday, which means these prices (captured October 9) may shift when the week's new sale drops on October 13. Confirm on-store before you buy. That said, the week's real Xbox value is on Game Pass, not the storefront.
| Game | Sale Price | Regular | Discount |
|---|---|---|---|
| Halo: The Master Chief Collection | $9.99 | $39.99 | 75% |
| The Outer Worlds 2 | $34.99 | $69.99 | 50% |
| Sonic X Shadow Generations | $14.99 | $49.99 | 70% |
| Slay the Spire | $6.24 | $24.99 | 75% |
Standout: Halo: The Master Chief Collection at $9.99 is six Halo games for ten bucks. Hard to beat if you missed it.
Nintendo eShop
Nintendo's current promotion runs under "The Evil Empire's Initiative" banner. End date isn't confirmed, so treat these as live-but-verify.
| Game | Sale Price | Regular | Discount |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dredge Complete Edition | $19.99 | $39.99 | 50% |
| Sea of Stars | $17.49 | $34.99 | 50% |
| The Escapists 2 GOTY | $5.39 | $26.99 | 80% |
| Don't Starve | $4.99 | $19.99 | 75% |
Standout: Sea of Stars at $17.49. A modern turn-based RPG that reviewed well and holds its price most of the year.
A note on Steam: The Steam Autumn Sale ended October 8, so there's no major PC-wide sale running this week. If you saw Autumn Sale prices floating around, they're gone.
