Best Game Deals This Week (July 6 - July 19, 2026)

Two of the year's biggest sales are ending in the next few days. The Steam Summer Sale closes Thursday, July 9, and the Nintendo eShop Summer Sale wraps up even sooner, on Wednesday, July 8. Between them you've got a historical low on one of 2025's best RPGs, a 67% cut on DOOM: The Dark Ages, and a pile of first-party Nintendo games that almost never go on sale. Add two fresh subscription drops on top, and this is a week where waiting costs you money. Here's what's worth your cash.

Top 5 Deals of the Week

Game Platform Sale Price Regular Discount Ends
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Steam (PC) $23.99 $59.99 60% off July 9
DOOM: The Dark Ages Steam (PC) $23.10 $69.99 67% off July 9
Persona 5 Royal Nintendo Switch $17.99 $59.99 70% off July 8
Monster Hunter Rise + Sunbreak Deluxe Nintendo Switch $17.49 $69.99 75% off July 8
Palworld Steam (PC) $27.29 $38.99 30% off July 9

Why These Made the Cut

  • Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is the standout. This is the deepest discount since launch, a genuine historical low for one of 2025's best-reviewed RPGs. If you've been on the fence, this is the price to grab it at.
  • DOOM: The Dark Ages gets its steepest cut to date at 67% off. A 2025 AAA shooter down to $23.10 is a rare early markdown for a game this new.
  • Persona 5 Royal at 70% off is one of the best JRPGs ever made for the price of a couple lunches. Deep cut, no catch.
  • Monster Hunter Rise + Sunbreak Deluxe bundles the base game and its meaty expansion at 75% off. That's the full package for $17.49.
  • Palworld is at its best-ever discount, timed to the 1.0 launch on July 10. One heads-up before you buy: Palworld 1.0 is also joining Xbox Game Pass on July 10 (Ultimate, Premium, and PC). If you're a Game Pass subscriber, you can play it there at no extra cost instead of buying it outright.

Game Pass Additions This Week (July 6 - 12)

Game Date Platforms
Winds of Arcana: Ruination July 6 Ultimate, Premium, PC
Palworld 1.0 July 10 Ultimate, Premium, PC

Palworld 1.0 is the headline add of the week. The creature-collection survival hit leaves early access and lands on Game Pass the same day, so subscribers get the full 1.0 release without paying the Steam price. Note that Xbox has shifted its tier naming around lately, so double-check the exact tier you're on before assuming access.

Games Leaving This Week

Nothing confirmed yet. Xbox announces Game Pass departures in two batches each month (early and late July), and no titles have been locked in for this window as of publish time. We'll update when the list drops.

Platform Breakdown

Steam Summer Sale (ends Thursday, July 9)

The Steam Summer Sale runs June 25 through July 9, ending at 10:00 AM PT on Thursday. One thing worth knowing: Valve locks all prices for the full two weeks, so there's no reason to wait. If it's discounted, it's the same price today as it will be on the final morning. Just don't blink past the deadline.

Game Sale Price Regular Discount
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II $23.99 $59.99 60% off
DOOM: The Dark Ages $23.10 $69.99 67% off
Palworld $27.29 $38.99 30% off
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 $39.99 $49.99 20% off

Last chance: Kingdom Come: Deliverance II at $23.99 is a historical low and the single best value in this sale. The Royal Edition, which throws in three DLC packs, runs around $32 if you want the full experience.

A quick note on Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. It's a GOTY-caliber RPG, but 20% off is a light cut by Steam standards, so temper expectations there. A handful of other deals (Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher 3, Mass Effect Legendary Edition) are floating around at steeper discounts, but prices reported across outlets don't agree, so confirm the exact figure on the store page before you commit.

Nintendo eShop Summer Sale (ends Wednesday, July 8)

This one ends first, on Wednesday, July 8 at 11:59 PM PT. What makes the 2026 Nintendo sale notable is the number of first-party titles discounted at the same time, which almost never happens. Both Switch and Switch 2 games are included.

Game Sale Price Regular Discount
Persona 5 Royal $17.99 $59.99 70% off
Monster Hunter Rise + Sunbreak Deluxe $17.49 $69.99 75% off
Hades $7.49 $24.99 70% off
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild $41.99 $59.99 30% off
Fire Emblem: Three Houses $41.99 $59.99 30% off
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity $41.99 $59.99 30% off
Red Dead Redemption (Switch 2) $24.99 $49.99 50% off
Assassin's Creed Shadows Premium Edition (Switch 2) $64.98 $99.99 35% off

Standout: Hades at $7.49 is almost a no-brainer if you somehow still don't own it. And while 30% off doesn't sound huge, seeing Breath of the Wild, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and Hyrule Warriors all discounted at once is the rarest thing on this list. Nintendo sits on those prices for years, so grab them now if they're on your list.

PlayStation Store

No storewide PlayStation sale is running this week. Days of Play and the Mid-Year Deals event have both wrapped, and while a PlayStation Summer Sale is expected later in July, Sony hasn't announced dates or a lineup yet. We'll cover it the moment it goes live. PS Plus subscribers do have a fresh batch of monthly games this week, though (see below).

PS Plus Monthly Games (July 7 - August 3)

Not a sale, but free is the best deal there is. Three games hit the PS Plus Monthly Games lineup starting July 7, playable on PS5 and PS4:

Game Platforms
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (Cross-Gen Bundle) PS5, PS4
For the King II PS5, PS4
CrossCode PS5, PS4

Claim them before August 3 and they're yours to keep as long as your membership stays active.

Track These Deals Automatically

Sales are moving targets, and nobody has time to refresh a dozen store pages every day. Vaulted.Games tracks prices across Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo for you, then pings you the moment a game on your wishlist drops to the price you set. Add the games you're eyeing, name your target price, and let the alerts do the watching. No more finding out a game went on sale the week after you paid full price.
