Excerpt

25+ free games across PS Plus, Game Pass, Epic, and Prime Gaming in November 2026, worth about $155, with every game and claim deadline in one list.

Free games in November are spread across five different stores, and every one runs on its own clock. PS Plus resets on a Tuesday, Epic rotates on Thursdays, Prime drops on Wednesdays, and Game Pass adds games whenever Microsoft feels like it. Miss a window and that game is gone.

This is the single reference for everything free in November 2026. Every confirmed game, every claim deadline, and an honest take on which ones are worth your time. Some of the month isn't announced yet (later Epic rotations, Prime's November lineup, the second Game Pass wave), so we'll update this page as those land.

Quick Answer: Best Free Games in November 2026

  1. Thronefall (Game Pass) - Metacritic 92 on PC, though that's from only four critic reviews. A tight, minimalist kingdom-defense strategy game arriving November 11.
  2. Monster Train 2 (PS Plus) - Metacritic 87 on PC. The best deckbuilding roguelite sequel in years, and it normally costs $24.99.
  3. Sorry We're Closed (Epic) - Metacritic 83 on PC. A stylish survival horror game that's yours to keep, but only until November 5.
  4. Dead Island 2 (PS Plus) - Metacritic 73 on PS5. Dumb, gory, co-op zombie fun in a ruined Los Angeles.
  5. Football Manager 27 (Game Pass) - Not scored yet. A day-one launch on November 10, and the biggest time sink on this list.

If you only have time to claim a few, start with those.

PlayStation Plus (Essential Tier)

Available: November 3 - November 30, 2026
Requirement: PS Plus Essential subscription ($79.99/year)

Three games this month: a big-budget zombie game, a classic trilogy remaster, and a critically loved roguelite.

Game Platform Metacritic Hours to Beat Worth It?
Dead Island 2 PS5, PS4 73 TBD Yes, especially with friends
Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered PS5, PS4 65 TBD Only if you have nostalgia for the originals
Monster Train 2 PS5 87 (PC) TBD Yes, the standout pick

Don't miss: Monster Train 2 is the one to play. It scored 87 on PC (the PS5 version doesn't have enough reviews for a score yet) and adds five new clans and a three-level vertical battlefield to a formula that was already great.

Dead Island 2 is the biggest name here, normally $49.99, and its online 3-player co-op makes it an easy weekend pick. Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered bundles The Last Revelation, Chronicles, and The Angel of Darkness with a toggle between original and remastered graphics. Its 65 on PS5 tells you the controls haven't aged gracefully, so go in for the nostalgia, not the gameplay.

Claim deadline: November 30, 2026. Add all three to your library before then, even if you won't play them this month. They stay playable as long as your PS Plus membership is active.

Heads up: Today (November 2) is the last day to add October's games: F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896, and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2. If you haven't grabbed them, do it now.

Hours to Beat for PS Plus and Game Pass titles are marked TBD. We couldn't verify HowLongToBeat data at publish time and won't guess. We'll fill these in on the next update.

Xbox Game Pass

Available: Various dates throughout November
Requirement: Game Pass subscription

Microsoft hasn't posted its official November Wave 1 announcement on Xbox Wire yet. The first five games below are confirmed on Xbox Wire. The rest come from outlet reports, and the ones marked with an asterisk (*) come from a single source, so treat those dates as tentative.

Game Date Platforms Metacritic Hours to Beat
GRAVHOUNDS (Game Preview) Nov 2 Xbox, PC (Play Anywhere) TBD TBD
Pit of Goblin Nov 3 Xbox Series X|S, PC, Cloud TBD TBD
Football Manager 27 (PC Early Access, pre-order) Nov 3 PC TBD TBD
VOID/BREAKER (1.0) Nov 4 PC TBD TBD
Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School Nov 5 Xbox Series X|S, PC TBD TBD
Football Manager 27 (full launch) Nov 10 Xbox Series X|S, PC, Cloud TBD TBD
Warhammer Survivors Nov 10 Xbox Series X|S, PC, Cloud TBD TBD
Tanuki: Pon's Summer* Nov 10 Xbox Series X|S, PC, Cloud TBD TBD
Thronefall Nov 11 Xbox Series X|S, PC 92 (PC, 4 reviews) TBD
Hope in the City* Nov 11 Xbox Series X|S, PC TBD TBD
Arkheron* Nov 27 Xbox Series X|S, PC, Cloud TBD TBD

Don't miss: Football Manager 27 is the day-one headliner, launching on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on November 10. If you pre-order on PC, you get early access starting November 3. Thronefall is the critical darling with a 92 on PC, but that score comes from just four reviews, so take it as "very promising" rather than "certified classic." Escape Academy 2 is worth a look if you want a co-op puzzle night.

Game Pass games don't have a monthly claim deadline, but they do leave. Football Manager 26 and Football Manager 26 Console Edition leave November 10, and GoldenEye 007 and Wreckfest are among the titles leaving November 15. Finish those first.

Also new this month: Cloud gaming now has monthly limits. Ultimate gets 15 hours a month, Premium gets 10, and Essential gets 5. If you lean on cloud play, plan around it.

Epic Games Store (Free for Everyone)

Available: Weekly rotation, Thursdays at 11 AM ET
Requirement: None. Free Epic Games account. Keep the games forever.

Game Free Period Normal Price Worth It?
Sorry We're Closed Oct 29 - Nov 5 $24.99 Expired
Flotsam Nov 5 - Nov 12 $24.99 Yes, if you like city builders
Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms: Morte's Champions of Renown Pack Nov 5 - Nov 12 Over $100 by Epic's valuation (base game is free-to-play) Only if you already play it
Knightica Nov 12 - Nov 19 $14.99 Yes, if you like auto-battlers
TBD Nov 19 - Nov 26 TBD Not announced yet
TBD Nov 26 - Dec 3 TBD Not announced yet

Don't miss: Flotsam is free right now, and you have until Thursday, November 12 at 11 AM ET. It's a city builder on a floating sea of garbage where you recycle plastic into homes and rescue survivors, and it left Early Access in December 2025. Steam reviews are Very Positive (84% of 2,057 English reviews), which makes it an easy claim at a normal price of $24.99.

If you already play Idle Champions, log in through the Epic Games Store by November 12 to pick up Morte's pack: five champions, 32 Platinum Chests per champion, two week-long potions, and an exclusive Kapak Draconian familiar. The base game is already free, so the pack is the whole offer here.

Next up is Knightica, free from November 12 at 11 AM ET until November 19. It's a roguelike auto-battler where you recruit and place units, find synergies, and lead an army through increasingly hard kingdoms. It normally costs $14.99 and sits at Mostly Positive on Steam (74% of 1,141 reviews). Epic hasn't announced anything past November 19.

Pro tip: Claim every free Epic game, even ones you don't care about today. It costs nothing, it stays in your library forever, and the game you skipped is the one you'll want in two years.

Amazon Prime Gaming

Available: Staggered weekly releases throughout November
Requirement: Amazon Prime membership ($14.99/month or $139/year)

Amazon hasn't announced its November lineup yet. Prime Gaming now lives under Amazon Luna, and new drops usually land on Wednesdays or Thursdays (every dated October drop fell on a Thursday). Amazon's October list didn't go up until October 6, five days after the first drop, so a quiet first week doesn't mean a delay.

We'll update this section as soon as November's games go live. In the meantime, most of October's drops are still claimable, and the next deadline after November 4 is Conarium on November 11.

Game Available Claim Platform
Five Nights at Freddy's: Into the Pit Until Nov 4 (may already be gone) Epic Games Store
DOOM (2016) Until Nov 4 (may already be gone) GOG
Conarium Until Nov 11 GOG
Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong Until Nov 18 Epic Games Store
Ad Infinitum Until Nov 25 Epic Games Store
Time Travel: Escape Room Game Until Nov 25 Legacy Games
Trash Goblin Until Dec 2 Epic Games Store
Kiborg Until Dec 2 Amazon Games App
Caravan SandWitch Until Dec 16 Amazon Games App
WarBreeds Until Jan 8, 2027 GOG
November lineup TBD (expected Wednesdays or Thursdays) TBD

Don't miss: DOOM (2016) is the best game on this list, and November 4 is its last listed day. One tracker had already pulled it and Five Nights at Freddy's: Into the Pit by about 2 PM ET that day, and we couldn't find an exact cutoff time, so they may already be gone. It's a DRM-free copy on GOG, so check the Luna claims page right away if you still want it.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong (until November 18) and Caravan SandWitch (until December 16) are the other highlights. Claimed games stay in your library even if you cancel Prime later. Some sites list slightly different end dates, so confirm on the Luna claims page before you wait until the last day.

GOG Giveaways

No GOG giveaway is active right now. The last one, A New Beginning: Final Cut, ended November 2. GOG has run free-game promos around its Black Friday sale in past years, but nothing is confirmed for 2026. If one shows up, we'll add it here. Every GOG giveaway is DRM-free, so it's yours for good.

It doesn't count Game Pass, Prime Gaming, or the three Epic rotations still to come.

How to Make Sure You Never Miss Free Games

  1. Set weekly reminders. Epic rotates Thursdays at 11 AM ET, PS Plus resets on the first Tuesday of the month, and Prime Gaming drops on Wednesdays. Three calendar alerts cover almost everything.
  2. Claim everything, play later. Claiming takes seconds and costs nothing. You can decide whether it's worth your time next year.
  3. Check multiple platforms. Prime Gaming hands out games on Epic, GOG, Legacy Games, and the Amazon Games App. A "Prime" game might be sitting in a launcher you rarely open.
  4. Don't let subscriptions go to waste. If you pay for PS Plus or Game Pass, add every monthly game. Skipping them means paying for nothing.
  5. Track it all in one place. Vaulted.Games pulls your libraries from every platform into one view, so you can see what you've claimed, what's leaving, and what's free right now.

FAQ: Free Games This Month

Q: Do I keep free Epic games forever?
A: Yes. Once you claim a free Epic game, it's permanently in your library. No subscription, no catch.

Q: Do I keep PS Plus games if I cancel?
A: No. You lose access when your membership lapses. But if you resubscribe, every monthly game you previously added comes back.

Q: Are Game Pass games really "free"?
A: Not exactly. They're included with a paid subscription, and they leave the catalog eventually (like GoldenEye 007 and Wreckfest on November 15). Think of it as renting a huge library, not owning it.

Q: Is Prime Gaming worth it just for free games?
A: Not on its own. Prime costs $14.99/month, and you're paying for shipping and video too. But if you already have Prime, the free games are a great bonus, and you keep everything you claim.

Q: Why do free games have different claim platforms?
A: Distribution deals. Publishers choose where their games are delivered, so one Prime Gaming game lands on GOG, another on Epic, and another in the Amazon Games App.

The Bottom Line

November starts strong and gets better once the remaining announcements land.

  • Best overall: Monster Train 2 on PS Plus. An 87 on PC and endlessly replayable.
  • Best day-one value: Football Manager 27 on Game Pass, launching November 10.
  • Best no-subscription-needed: Sorry We're Closed on Epic. Free to keep, but only until November 5.
  • Best surprise: Thronefall on Game Pass. A small game with a 92 on PC (from just four reviews) that could become your next obsession.
