Games Leaving PS Plus: April 2026

Six games are leaving the PS Plus Extra and Premium catalog on April 21, 2026. The biggest loss is Dave the Diver, one of the highest-rated games to hit the service, with a Metacritic score of 90. You have 10 days to finish these before they're removed from the catalog.

All six departures are Extra/Premium catalog removals. Unlike Essential monthly games, these can't be "claimed" and kept. Once they're gone on April 21, your only option is to buy them.

Extra/Premium Games Leaving April 21, 2026

Game Platform Metacritic Time to Beat Leave Date
Dave the Diver PS5, PS4 90 ~24 hours April 21, 2026
TowerFall Ascension PS4 82 ~3.5 hours April 21, 2026
EA Sports PGA Tour PS5 75 ~20-25 hours April 21, 2026
Lost Records: Bloom & Rage (Tape 1 & 2) PS5 73 ~10-12 hours April 21, 2026
Spitlings PS4 65 ~5-8 hours April 21, 2026
Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories PS4 51 ~10 hours April 21, 2026

Note: These games are being removed from the catalog entirely. Unlike Essential monthly games, Extra/Premium titles cannot be permanently claimed. If you want to keep playing after April 21, you'll need to purchase them.

Don't Miss: Priority Picks

1. Dave the Diver

The best game on this list by a wide margin. Dave the Diver blends deep-sea exploration with restaurant management in a way that shouldn't work but absolutely does. A Metacritic score of 90 puts it in rare company for PS Plus catalog games.

Time commitment: ~24 hours for the main story. It's a significant investment, but the gameplay loop keeps pulling you back. Worth noting: new DLC is scheduled for June 2026, and you'll likely need to own the game to access it.

Requires: PS Plus Extra or Premium

2. TowerFall Ascension

One of the best couch-multiplayer games ever made. If you have people to play with locally, this is a must-download before it disappears. The competitive archery-platformer gameplay is fast, chaotic, and endlessly replayable.

Time commitment: ~3.5 hours for the solo content, but the real value is local multiplayer. Download it, invite friends over, done.

Requires: PS Plus Extra or Premium

3. Lost Records: Bloom & Rage

From the creators of Life is Strange, this narrative adventure explores friendship, memory, and unresolved tension across two episodes. It launched as a day-one PS Plus title, so if you haven't touched it yet, this is your last chance.

Time commitment: ~10-12 hours for both tapes combined. That's a comfortable weekend playthrough. As a story-driven game, you'll want to finish both tapes before April 21 to get the full experience.

Requires: PS Plus Extra or Premium

Quick Takes on the Rest

  • EA Sports PGA Tour (Metacritic 75) - Solid golf sim on the Frostbite Engine with tight swing mechanics and a decent career mode. Push Square gave it an 8/10. If you're a golf fan, it's worth a few rounds before it goes. ~20-25 hours to see everything.

  • Spitlings (Metacritic 65) - Chaotic neon arcade platformer built for multiplayer. Simple mechanics, surprisingly punishing difficulty. Fun in short bursts with friends, forgettable solo. ~5-8 hours.

  • Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories (Metacritic 51) - An offbeat Japanese disaster-survival adventure. Rough around the edges and critically mixed, but it has a cult following for its absurd charm. Only for the curious. ~10 hours.

FAQ: Games Leaving PS Plus

What's the difference between Essential and Extra/Premium games leaving?

Essential monthly games can be claimed and added to your library permanently (as long as you maintain your PS Plus subscription). Extra/Premium catalog titles are different. When they leave the catalog, they're gone. You can't claim them in advance. Your only option after April 21 is to purchase them outright.

Can I still play claimed Essential games?

Yes. Once you've claimed an Essential monthly game, it stays in your library as long as your PS Plus subscription is active. These April departures are Extra/Premium catalog games, not Essential titles, so this doesn't apply here.

Will these games come back to PS Plus?

Possibly, but there's no guarantee. Extra/Premium catalog titles rotate in and out, and some games have returned after previous removals. Don't count on it.

What if I'm in the middle of playing one of these?

You have until April 21 to finish. After that, you'll need to buy the game to keep playing. Your save data will still be there if you purchase it later or if it returns to the catalog.

What's Coming to Replace Them

Sony is expected to announce the PS Plus Extra and Premium catalog additions for April 2026 on April 15, with availability on April 21 (the same day as these departures). The lineup hasn't been officially confirmed yet.

In the meantime, the April Essential monthly games are already available (claimable until May 4):

  • Lords of the Fallen (PS5) - Soulslike action RPG
  • Tomb Raider I-III Remastered (PS4/PS5) - Classic trilogy remaster
  • Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream (PS5) - Multiplayer co-op action (up to 20 players)
