Games Leaving PS Plus: March 2026

Games Leaving PS Plus: March 2026

10 games are leaving PS Plus this month across two waves. The Essential monthly games (February's batch) already hit their claim deadline on March 3, so that ship has sailed. The one that matters now: 6 games are leaving the Extra/Premium catalog on March 17, and TMNT: Shredder's Revenge is the standout loss.

Here's the full breakdown, what's worth your time, and what's replacing them.

Essential Monthly Games (Claim Deadline: March 3, 2026)

These are already gone. February's free monthly games hit their claim deadline on March 3. If you claimed them, they're in your library as long as you keep PS Plus. If you didn't, you missed them.

Game Platform Metacritic Time to Beat Claim Deadline
Subnautica: Below Zero PS5, PS4 82 ~20 hours March 3
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown PS4 80 ~7-10 hours March 3
Ultros PS5, PS4 77 ~10-11 hours March 3
Undisputed PS5 70 ~15 hours March 3

Note: Once claimed, Essential monthly games stay in your library as long as you maintain PS Plus Essential or higher.

Extra/Premium Games Leaving March 17, 2026

This is where you need to pay attention. These 6 games are being removed from the catalog entirely. Unlike Essential monthly games, Extra/Premium titles can't be permanently claimed. Once they're gone on March 17, you lose access.

Game Tier Metacritic Time to Beat Leave Date
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge Extra 87 ~2.5-3 hours March 17
Paradise Killer Extra 81 ~12 hours March 17
Circus Electrique Extra/Premium 71 ~20-25 hours March 17
Cris Tales Extra 69 ~20-22 hours March 17
Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation: Code Fairy Extra 66 ~15 chapters March 17
Redout 2 Extra/Premium 63 ~33 hours March 17

Note: These games are removed from the catalog. Unlike Essential monthly games, Extra/Premium titles cannot be permanently claimed. If you want to keep playing after March 17, you'll need to purchase them.

Don't Miss: Priority Picks

1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge

The best game on the departing list, and it's not close. This retro-style beat-'em-up from Tribute Games nails the spirit of the classic TMNT arcade games with gorgeous pixel art, a killer soundtrack, and up to 6-player online co-op. It reviewed at 87 on Metacritic for good reason.

Time commitment: 2.5-3 hours for the story. You can knock this out in a single session. No excuses.
Requires: PS Plus Extra

2. Paradise Killer

An open-world detective game where you investigate a ritualistic mass murder on Paradise Island. That sentence alone should sell you on it. The vaporwave aesthetic is striking, the investigation is completely non-linear, and you build your own case with the evidence you find. No hand-holding. Windows Central gave it a perfect 100.

Time commitment: ~12 hours. You have 6 days. Very doable.
Requires: PS Plus Extra

3. Cris Tales

A love letter to classic JRPGs with a twist: you can see past, present, and future simultaneously and use time manipulation in combat. The hand-drawn art is stunning, and the Chrono Trigger / Paper Mario DNA shows. It's the most ambitious game on this departing list.

Time commitment: ~20-22 hours. This is the longest play on the list. Start now if you're interested.
Requires: PS Plus Extra

Quick Takes on the Rest

  • Circus Electrique (71 Metacritic, ~20-25 hours). Steampunk tactical RPG crossed with a circus management sim. Quirky concept where your circus performers double as combat units. The premise is more interesting than the execution, but if that pitch grabs you, it's worth a look.

  • Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation: Code Fairy (66 Metacritic, ~15 chapters). Single-player mech action following a secret Zeon unit during the One Year War. This one's for Gundam fans only. If you don't know what the One Year War is, skip it.

  • Redout 2 (63 Metacritic, ~33 hours). Anti-gravity futuristic racer in the WipEout/F-Zero mold. Extremely fast, but the career mode is a massive time sink at 33 hours and the reviews were mixed. For dedicated racing fans who know what they're getting into.

FAQ: Games Leaving PS Plus

What's the difference between Essential and Extra/Premium games leaving?
Essential monthly games can be claimed permanently (they stay in your library as long as you have PS Plus). Extra/Premium catalog titles are removed entirely. Once they leave the catalog, you lose access unless you buy the game.

Can I still play Essential games I already claimed?
Yes. As long as you maintain an active PS Plus subscription (Essential or higher), claimed monthly games stay in your library.

Will these Extra/Premium games come back to the catalog?
Possibly, but there's no guarantee and no timeline. Games rotate in and out of the catalog based on Sony's licensing agreements.

What if I'm mid-playthrough of an Extra/Premium game that's leaving?
Your save data stays on your console. You can either purchase the game to keep playing, or wait and hope it returns to the catalog later.

What's Coming to Replace Them

The incoming March additions hit on the same day (March 17), and they're stronger than what's leaving:

  • Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 (Extra)
  • Persona 5 Royal (Extra)
  • Madden NFL 26 (Extra)
  • Metal Eden (Extra)
  • The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria (Extra)
  • Astroneer (Extra)
  • Tekken: Dark Resurrection (Premium Classics)

Space Marine 2 and Persona 5 Royal alone make this a net win for the catalog.

March's Essential monthly games (available to claim until April 6):

  • Monster Hunter Rise (PS5, PS4)
  • Slime Rancher 2 (PS5)
  • The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Gold Road (PS5, PS4)
  • PGA Tour 2K25 (PS5)
